Social Media usage for Darktrace played a versatile role, being used for; Asset Advertising, Event Promotion, Paid Campaign Promotion, and Speaking Sessions. Assets created for social media were posted on; LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.

A daily staple of Darktrace social media posting is the announcement posts. These posts included; Award Wins, New Blog Posts, Partnered Collateral Available for download, and event advertisement. The graphics used in these posts ranged from abstract cyber backgrounds, to more targeted stock content which tied in with the theme of the post.

Darktrace also utilised multiple paid social campaign which each served a different purpose. These varied from general presence campaigns, which acted to spread company name recognition, to targeted issue campaigns. These targeted issue campaigns promoted reports detailing how Darktrace combats the threat landscape. The graphics used for the campaigns were abstract in nature, but tied in with the overall theme and messaging of the post.

Carousel posts were used as part of the paid campaigns to advertise reports. The design consisted of an over arching image in the background with key points of information being displayed on each tile which cycled though.

Each paid social campaign included translated versions, used to specifically spread the targeted messaging in localised regions.

As part of event marketing, speaker sessions for digital events were advertised on social media. These posts included the title of the talk, time and date of the talk, and the speaker details. These speaker events promoted key digital events across all markets and regions.

Video Assets have been used intermittently on social media for announcing key wins of new customers. These posts were used to promote the accompanying press release. The videos comprised the size and scale of the new customer, including their defensive needs. The videos would end with a validating quote from the new customer.
