The Hamlet in the the woods leaflet, was a comprehensive overview outlining a new housing development in the Farnham area. The leaflet contained detailed information about the proposed design, site plan, and the proposed transformation the area was about to go through. The leaflet was distributed at planning meetings, with the aim to help inform local residents about the upcoming project.
The design was a standard A5 size, encompassing 12 pages in total, including the front and back covers. The layout was designed to be adaptable showing off multiple types of information, including; site maps, concept drawing, and proposed infrastructure.
The feature map spread of the leaflet shows a detailed look at the site plan along with a concept sketch of the proposed properties. This spread needed to be clean, to allow the important information displayed in the map, and sketch, to demonstrate the proposed plan.
Each page of the Hamlet leaflet contained information pages, detailing every aspect of the scheme and what the final outcome would look like. This was demonstrated with exiting photos from other completed schemes as well as sketches. The design incorporated a two column grid, with text heavy sections bridging both columns.
The back page of the leaflet contained a cut out questionnaire to be filled in by local residents to ascertain general feedback about the development, and allow input on potential changes. The inside back page had a gum strip around the edges to allow for ease of sealing for postage.
